Project Overview
EC Scaffolding was appointed by D & B Roofing to provide safe access scaffolding around a multi-level residential property.
The scaffold was required to support a varied programme of external works, including rendering, stonework, building maintenance and window maintenance.
Because the property was located within a residential area, careful planning was needed to provide contractors with practical working access while also helping to protect the surrounding areas during the works.
Execution
Our team installed a multi-level scaffold designed to give D & B Roofing safe access to the different elevations and working heights required across the property.
Debris netting was fitted to the scaffold to help contain dust, small debris and materials generated during the rendering, stonework and maintenance works.
At ground level, protective foam pads were installed around appropriate scaffold areas. These helped provide additional protection at lower levels where people could come into contact with the scaffold structure.
The completed access system provided suitable working platforms for rendering and stonework, as well as general building and window maintenance.
Particular attention was given to the layout of the scaffold due to the residential setting and the need to maintain a safe, organised working environment throughout the project.
Outcome
The completed scaffold provided D & B Roofing with reliable access across the multi-level property for all required external works.
By combining secure working platforms, debris netting and ground-level protective padding, EC Scaffolding provided an access solution suited to both the contractors carrying out the work and the surrounding residential environment.
